                           ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Hamilton-Wenham School of Dance was founded in 1992 by Katy Brunault.  Enrollment has grown to 280 students, ages 3 to adult. Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, modern dance, jazz and creative movement. The instructors at HWSD teach correct technique while instilling a love of dance in their students.
The emphasis is on expression and artistry rather than competition. Performance  opportunities are available to older students including recitals, participation in local performances of “The Nutcracker”, and community events. High school students with significant experience in ballet can  audition for Allegro Dance Ensemble, the resident company of HWSD.
